Kilter partnered with the Columbia Memorial Space Center to promote the launch of 2019’s City of STEM, the largest science festival in Greater Los Angeles. The event featured over 100 unique partners and included mobile museums, tech demos, a career lounge, and opportunities to engage with every aspect of the STEM world.
To boost attendance, we utilized influencer marketing, targeted social media and crafted a campaign that highlighted the fun of the event and celebrated the diverse nature of programming and experiences featured. We designed a series of bright, bold, animated pieces that touched on everything from dinosaurs to outer space. The result was a campaign that yielded over 300,000 impressions and a 10% engagement rate, translating to an event that exceeded expectations.
The event saw a 7x increase in attendance over the previous year and brought more than 10,000 people to the Columbia Memorial Space Center for an afternoon of experimental science. We continue to work with City of STEM to celebrate the importance of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics and to promote access to STEM experiences in the Greater Los Angeles area throughout the year.
