Children’s Community School

Admissions Materials

Children’s Community School was designed to invite the neighborhood in, ensuring it remain one of the most diverse independent schools in Los Angeles. The progressive curriculum is built around active learning—free from the limitations of tests, textbooks, or grades. To celebrate their unconventional approach to education, we developed a provocative message-driven campaign to challenge the tenets of traditional education across videos, social media and printed admissions materials.

We highlighted each key offering of the school, working quickly from concept to completion to create a series of short videos and a longer fundraising narrative. The admissions materials ran across local media outlets, KCRW, and social media. From there we had the opportunity to completely reimagine the school’s viewbook, opening with beautiful photo fold-outs and bright, colorful spreads to support an undeniably bold philosophy.

Oakwood School

Focusing on the idea of gratitude we designed an annual report that highlighted stories from members of the Oakwood community, giving them a platform to talk about what Oakwood means to them.
